A journey that began two years ago culminates in a gaming smartphone designed specifically for Saudi gamers

Ain Alalam – Rashad Iskandrni

TECNO has announced the upcoming launch of the new POVA 8 Series in Saudi Arabia, reaffirming its commitment to delivering a gaming experience that meets the aspirations of Saudi gamers. The launch marks the culmination of an exclusive collaboration with Saudi content creator Bandar Madkhali, widely known as Banderita, one of the Kingdom’s most influential figures in the gaming community.

The launch builds on a strategic partnership that began two years ago between TECNO and Banderita. What started as a marketing collaboration evolved into a co-development journey with a shared goal: creating a gaming smartphone that reflects the needs, playing styles and expectations of Saudi gamers.

From Saudi Arabia’s Gaming Community to TECNO’s R&D Centres in China

The collaboration between TECNO and Banderita extended far beyond marketing campaigns, developing into a genuine product development journey inspired by the feedback and expectations of Saudi gamers.

During his visit to TECNO’s research and development centres and manufacturing facilities in China, Banderita explored every stage of the product development process, including device design, quality assurance, performance testing and durability laboratories. He also met with TECNO’s management and engineering teams to share insights from Saudi gamers and contribute to creating a product experience that more closely reflects their needs.

This journey embodies the concept of co-development, demonstrating TECNO’s commitment to building products that begin with real user needs and transform customer feedback into meaningful innovations and technologies incorporated into the final product.

A New Generation of Gaming Smartphones

The POVA 8 Series introduces a new vision for gaming smartphones through its Dual-Chip Gaming Power architecture, combining the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor with the P1 Graphics Chip to deliver smoother, more stable gaming performance during intensive gameplay.

The series also features the interactive Alive Matrix Design, giving the device a distinctive gaming-inspired visual identity while providing a more dynamic and personalised user experience.

Together, these innovations reflect TECNO’s philosophy of combining technological innovation, durability and bold design to create a gaming experience tailored specifically for the Saudi market.

Banderita Limited Edition

TECNO will also introduce the exclusive Banderita Limited Edition, available in a limited run of just 500 units, celebrating the partnership through a collector’s edition inspired by Banderita and created especially for his fans and collectors of exclusive devices.

The special edition features exclusive design elements, premium packaging and Banderita-inspired digital content, clearly reflecting how the collaboration has evolved from a marketing partnership into a product that carries the signature of both TECNO and Banderita.

Stay Tuned for the Official Unveiling

The POVA 8 Series will be officially unveiled during TECNO’s launch event on 24 July, where the company will reveal the complete lineup, alongside the premiere of the short documentary “From Saudi to China,” which chronicles the collaboration between TECNO and Banderita from its inception through to the creation of the final product.

The event will also showcase the Banderita Limited Edition and the Lamborghini Limited Edition, in addition to a range of immersive interactive experiences designed for gamers, media representatives and business partners.

Through this launch, TECNO reinforces its vision of developing gaming smartphones that go beyond powerful specifications by understanding gamers’ needs, listening to the community and transforming those insights into products that deliver meaningful value and a truly differentiated gaming experience.

The POVA 8 Series will be available at a starting price of SAR 1,399 through Jarir Bookstore, eXtra, Noon, Lulu Hypermarket, Nesto Hypermarket, Najd Telecom, Mashaeil Al Asimah Telecom, as well as mobile phone retailers across Saudi Arabia.
